仮装について
「ハロウィーン」では家の周りをカボチャのランタンで照らし、オバケや魔女を象った飾りを付けるなどして、少し不気味な雰囲気を演出するのが一般的です。
そうして家の飾りが終わると、次は子供達が自分達の用意した衣装に着替えて街に繰り出す。
元々「ハロウィーン」の仮装は、十月三十一日に現世に現れるとされる「異界」の住民から仲間だと思わせて身を守る「隠れ蓑」として行わおこなわれていました。
そのため、昔の仮装は不気味なモノや怖ろしいモノを中心に今でも民間伝承に登場する人に害を与える妖精や精霊だったり、「死」を連想する「死神」や、不死の怪物、黒魔術を使う者、他にも民話の怪物などが含まれます。
他にも「幽霊」・「魔女」・「コウモリ」・「黒猫」に「ゴブリン」や死期が近い人間の前に現れる「バンシー」と呼ばれる女の妖精に「ゾンビ」などがあります。
他にも文学作品で有名になった「ドラキュラ」や「フランケンシュタイン」のような怪物もあります。
これら「異界」や「怪物」の様な存在は「ハロウィーン」の時期になると、飾りや雰囲気を盛り上げるシンボルをして使われる事もあります。
ですが、時代が進むごとに子供たちの仮装は「ハロウィーン」の本来の「隠れ蓑」の役割が薄くなり、好きな格好をして楽しむ事が主な理由になっています。
そのため「ハロウィーン」の時期に海外の服飾店に行くと、明るいイメージの可愛い洋服や有名な映画の衣装に留まらず、日本のアニメや漫画のキャラクターの衣装まで取り揃えているのです。
「お祭り」としての意味合いが強くなった現代の「ハロウィーン」では、普段は出来ない格好をして楽しむ方がある意味で正しいといえますね。

It is common to produce a little eerie atmosphere in Halloween by lighting around the house with pumpkin lanterns and putting decorations of ghosts or witches.
After completing the decoration of house, children change their prepared costumes and go out.
Originally people dress in Halloween costumes to disguise to protect themselves from people in another world who appear in this world on 31st October.
For that reason, costumes of ancient times were creepy or scary and a fairy or a spirit that appear and harm people in the folklore even now and god of death which is associated with death, the immortal monster, those who use black magic, and also monsters of folklore.
There are also ghosts, witches, bats, black cats, goblins, zombies, and a female fairy called Banshee who appears in front of human beings who will die soon.
There are also Dracula and Frankenstein who are famous in literary works.
The another world and monsters are treated as the decorations and symbols to liven up the atmosphere.
However, as time has passed, Halloween costumes of children have not tended to play the original role of disguising in Halloween. And the main reason has become to enjoy wearing favorite dresses.
Therefore, not only cute clothes with bright image and the famous movie costumes but also costumes of Japanese anime and cartoon character can be found in boutiques abroad at the time of Halloween.
As it has become a festival now, it is relevant to enjoy wearing unusual costumes in Halloween recently.
