火に弱い理由
「ハロウィーン」で子供達が仮装する様な「魔女」や「幽霊」に限らず、人に悪さをする「悪魔」や「妖怪」は「火」に弱い事が多いです。
その理由としては、まず「火」は明るいので「闇」を象徴する「魔」に属する者は「火」の放つ「光」に弱いと考えられているからです。
しかし、世界中には様々な妖精な悪魔が居るので、その中には弱点をなる筈の「火」を操るタイプも居ます。
これは単純に人が「火」に持っている「恐怖」を分かりやすくしたためでしょう。
また、宗教的な見方をすると「火」は世界が出来た当初は「神様」しか持っていなかった力であり、時に人が神様から盗んだ、または邪悪な者から神様が人を守る術として「火」を与えたと間がられています。
そのため、神様と対照的な存在である「悪魔」などは「火」に弱いと考えられているのです。
たしかに「火」は私達に様々な形で利益を与えてくれたり、時に身を守る方法にもなります。
しかし、祭や行事で「火」が重要なのは神聖なだけでなく、扱い方を間違えると私達にも危険な存在である事を忘れないための「戒め」の意味を兼ねているのかもしれません。

The Reason of being Vulnerable to a Fire
Not only witches and ghosts that children dress up as in Halloween but also demons and monsters that harm people are often vulnerable to a fire.
